This is a bit of a different post to what I usually blog about but to my surprise the other day I was nominated for the Liebster Blogger Award! I'm so grateful to the lovely Shan who nominated me, you should go and check out her blog, its soooo good! What is the Liebster Blogger Award?

If you don't know what the Liebster award is, it's basically an award that is given out by bloggers to other smaller bloggers. It's similar to a tag in that you get tagged to answer a series of questions and then you nominate others to do the same! I loved this idea because it helps you to find other bloggers who have blogs that are based around similar topics to yourself.

11 Random Facts About Me

1. I was born and still live in England
2. I am currently in Year 13 and studying at Sixth Form to complete my second year of A-Levels.
3. My favourite colour is pink (typical girly girl colour I know haha)
4. I have a slightly excessive nail varnish collection (I just counted and I have over 100, whoops!)
5. My biggest fears are spiders, clowns, the sea and travelling on boats!
6. Zac Efron has been my celebrity crush ever since High School Musical came out, ahhhh *heart eye emoji*
7. One Direction are my all time favourite boy band. I'm proud to say I've been a fan ever since they were on X-Factor, such a fangirl!
8. My all time favourite TV series have to be Pretty Little Liars, Criminal Minds and 90210. I love a whole load of others, but these 3 are my absolute favourites.
9. Autumn is my favourite season.
10. I passed my driving test first time and I now drive the cutest cream mini and I love it so much!
11. Next year I should be going to university to study 'Mental Health Nursing' (lets hope I get the grades I need in my A-Levels)

What / Who inspired you to start blogging?

A few years ago I discovered some beauty gurus on youtube and ever since then I have become addicted to watching youtube videos and reading blog posts about the latest beauty products etc. I made a separate Instagram account (@littlebeautywonderland if you want to follow me, shameless self promotion haha) and started posting makeup related photos and got a good response so I started up a blog and yeah, here I am haha!

What is your holy grail skin care product?

If i'm completely honest with you, I am so bad when it comes to looking after my skin. I only use one product and that is the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Srub I use this in the morning and at night once I've taken off my makeup and I find it really helps to keep my skin matte and just makes my skin feel really clean.

What are 3 of your future goals?

I have so many goals and things I want to achieve in my lifetime but the 3 that stick out to me are these. One is that I hope to become a qualified mental health nurse so that I can then specialise in area and make a real difference to people lives. I really want to work toward being a type of therapist so that I am able to support individuals who are in need of help. Another of my goals is to have my own family in the future. My third goal is a bit abstract but it is to simply be happy. I would hate to grow up to be stuck in a life where I feel trapped and miserable. I'm not necessarily fussed about the material possessions that I will have in the future, I just hope I will be living a happy and fulfilling life.

What is your favourite makeup brand?

This was such an easy question for me, but its most certainly got to be Nars. Every product I have tried from them has been so amazing. I would wholeheartedly recommend that you try something from Nars if you haven't yet!

What is currently in your makeup bag?

I'm currently trying out some new makeup bits so I have some different products in my bag to usual. I've got the L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer; the Revlon Color Stay Foundation; the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer; the Nars Soft Velvet Loose Powder; the Nars Translucent Light Reflecting Setting Powder; the Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer; the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in the shade '10 - Nude mauve'; the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in the shade 'Pink Quartz'; the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade in the shade 'taupe' and the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara.

What countries do you want to visit?

I have been lucky enough to visit America several times and have visited Florida, New York, Oregon and San Fransisco (i'm pretty sure we went other places but my memory isn't the best!) and I have some amazing memories from those holidays However, now I have visited America the only two other places that I would really like to visit are Bora Bora and Hawaii. They both look so beautiful and the photos of the scenery just looks gorgeous, I hope I get to visit one day!

What is your favourite social media for promoting your blog?

The only social media I currently use to promote my blog is Instagram. I find it so easy just to put up a post whenever I have uploaded a new blog post. This is a really effective way of reminding my followers to check out my blog.

What do you do in your spare time?

Aside from working on my own blog (which takes up quite a bit of time) I like to read other blogs, and watch my favourite youtubers. I'm more of a night in kinda girl, so I'd much rather have a night in watching a cute film with my friends rather than going out. Although, I do love a good night out every now and again! I love spending time with my friends but yeah i'm pretty sure you know what I mean!

How would your best friend describe you?

I wasn't sure what to put here so I asked Freya for some pointers and this was what she said. 'Ffy is one of the most thoughtful, caring and genuine people you could ever meet. She puts everyone before herself, in all situations and will support you in any decision you make. She never lets you down and you can rely on her for ANYTHING. She's my shoulder to cry on in difficult situations, yet the person I share my best memories with. Also, she's so so passionate in things that she believes in, and is one of the most determined people you could ever meet - she won't give up until she meets her goals. Ffy is so organised, and you can count on her to have ANYTHING - her handbag holds more than what most people would take on holiday in their suitcase. She is so beautiful and looks immaculate all the time, which is annoying because it makes you feel like a gremlin stood next to her. But I'm so lucky to have her as a best friend, and couldn't ask for anything more.'

What tips would you tell a new blogger or someone who wanted to start a blog?

I think the most important thing is to blog about a subject you're interested in. If you're talking about something you're genuinely passionate about then it will show through your writing. It's also important to be consistent in when you post, so that people know when to visit your blog to see a new post. If you can it's good to keep a record of what you're planning on blogging about. I like to use the notes app on my phone just to write down any ideas I may have.
